Mission Statement
The mission of the York County Cancer Association is to reduce the barriers to optimal cancer care for uninsured and under-insured men, women and children living in York County by providing financial assistance for the cost of cancer-related medication, transportation, and supplies. In addition, the York County Cancer Association provides financial assistance for the cost of breast cancer screening procedures.
Our Story
In 1959 York County was faced with a growing need from people right here in our community who were suffering with cancer and needed assistance covering the cost of care. Our non-profit organization was established to help York County residents who are living with a limited income or who may be uninsured or under-insured afford the care they need. We are proud of our 50 years of service to the community. Unlike other organizations who work with cancer care, 100% of your donations and support remain in York County to help people right here at home. We work diligently to maintain low operating costs to ensure more money is available for the men, women and children who receive our services. Support for the York County Cancer Association comes from individual and corporate contributions and small grants. YCCA is also a partner agency of the United Way of York County, SC.
